KVV's, Krishna Institute of Pharmacy organised Workshop on “Assessment, Evaluation and Beyond”
Workshop on “Assessment, Evaluation and Beyond” was organized for teachers of Krishna Institute of Pharmacy Karad under the guidance of Dr N. R. Jadhav, Dean, Krishna Institute of Pharmacy, Karad on Saturday, 19/10/2024.
The welcome note and introduction of the speaker was given by Dr. Anuradha N. Chivate, Assistant Professor, KVV, KIP Karad. Dean Dr N. R. Jadhav, welcomed Dr. R. B. Jadhav by offering bouquet. Brief introduction of the workshop was given by Dr N. R. Jadhav.
Workshop covered key aspects of assessment and evaluation in education, starting with the distinction between formative assessments, which aim to improve learning, and summative evaluations, which judge overall achievement. He emphasized the importance of Outcome-Based Education (OBE) by aligning assessments with Course Outcomes (COs) to accurately measure student learning. Using Bloom’s Taxonomy, he demonstrated how to design questions that cater to various cognitive levels. Practical tips for creating question papers that map to COs were provided, along with strategies for developing rubrics to standardize grading and promote fairness. The workshop concluded with a focus on the significance of providing timely, constructive feedback to enhance student performance and determining attainment levels through assessment results. The workshop was interactive, allowing participants to ask questions and share their experiences.
