62nd IAP NATIONAL CONFERENCE, NASHIK MAHARASHTRA
The Indian Association of Physiotherapists (IAP) was established in the year of 1955, which is the only governing body in India to represent, regulates and advance the interests of Indian Physiotherapists through setting professional standards, promoting scientific research and supporting recent advances in the field. IAP has hosted several National and International Conferences among which 62nd IAP National Conference held at Nashik on February 15-16 2025, focused on “Physiotherapy: Revolutionizing Care Through Technology and Autonomy”. The National conference held at Nashik was one of its kind featuring expert workshops, keynote presentations, and discussions on advancements in Artificial Intelligence, Robotics and tele-rehabilitation. Distinguished guests included Shri Satyajeet Tambe, a prominent politician and social entrepreneur, from Maharashtra who currently serves as a member of Maharashtra Legislative Council. His presence highlighted the importance of political support for healthcare advancements. Dr. Sanjeev K.R. Jha, President of IAP, also played a key role in steering the conference, contributing to the discussions on professional development in Physiotherapy. Dr. Ruchi Varshney (PT), National Head of IAP Women’s cell (IAPWC), was instrumental in organizing the event, emphasizing women’s empowerment within the Physiotherapy Profession. The conference also honored Scientific delegates for their contributions to research and innovation in the field.

Best Principal Award:

Senior Physiotherapist award
The "Senior Physiotherapist Award" honors experienced Physiotherapists who have made significant contributions to patient care, rehabilitation, and the advancement of the profession. It recognizes their expertise, innovative treatment methods, and commitment to mentoring others, highlighting their impact on improving health outcomes and promoting excellence in Physiotherapy.
Panelist:
Dr. G. Varadharajulu, along with Dr. Sanjeev Kumar and Arup Biswas, was a panelist for the session "Rewiring the Brain: Recent Advances in Stroke Rehabilitation" at the 62nd National Conference of IAP. They discussed the latest advancements in stroke recovery, focusing on neuroplasticity, innovative therapies, and how personalized rehabilitation strategies are improving patient outcomes. The session provided valuable insights into transforming stroke rehabilitation practices.

Dr. S. Anandh, along with his co-judge, evaluated 15 research papers in the PhD in Women’s Health and Community Category at the 62nd National Conference of IAP. In addition, he also coordinated the Community PhD paper presentations. His thorough assessment ensured a well-organized review process, upholding high scientific standards and recognizing outstanding postgraduate research in the community-based physiotherapy field.
Scientific Award:
Dr. S. Anandh was also honored with the Best Paper Presentation Award in the Senior category for his research on community-based physiotherapy. DELEGATES AND AWARDS


The 62nd National IAP conference was held at Nashik, Maharashtra. The faculty members and students of Krishna College of Physiotherapy took part in the conference where multiple faculty members presented their scientific research and students participated in scientific research presentation and various cultural events organized by the Indian Association of Physiotherapy. The conference was attended by 170 students and 8 academic members.
