ACTION TAKEN REPORT OF JAN JATIYA GAURAV DIWAS CELEBRATION, 2024

Date – 22th and 25th November 2024

Venue: Krishna College of Physiotherapy, KVV, Karad.

Jan Jatiya Gaurav Diwas (Tribal Pride Day) is celebrated annually on November 15th in India to honor the contributions, culture, and traditions of the country's indigenous tribal communities. The date was chosen to commemorate the birth anniversary of Birsa Munda, a prominent tribal leader and freedom fighter who played a significant role in the Indian independence struggle and the fight for the rights of indigenous tribes, particularly in the state of Jharkhand.

On the occasion of Jan Jatiya Gaurav Diwas, 2024 Krishna college of Physiotherapy had organized various activities for the students to engage and enhance their skills and dive into the immense tribal culture throughout India which are slowly being erased from our society.

The chronology of events organized by Krishna college of Physiotherapy were as follows:

  1. Painting Competition
  2. Tribal Dance Comptition
  3. Rongali Bihu Dance Workshop

PAINTING COMPETITION ON TRIBAL CULTURE AND HERITAGE

A painting competition was organized on 22nd November 2024 for the students to explore the humongous varieties of tribal art forms. The theme for painting compettion was tribal culture and heritage. 16 students and staff members protrayed their art forms, expressing their take on the beautiful tribal culture and heritage. Competition was judged by respected Mr. Sadashiv Bhingare who is a teacher and Ms. Manasi Bhingare who is a professional artist. The 1 st prize was presented to Dr. Anusha Ingale from 2nd PG, 2nd prize was won by Mrudula pawar from 4th year and the third position was secured by Diksha Sachin Patil from 2nd year. The students and staff brought together some mesmerising paintings which were appreciated by respected Dean sir.
