KINS:- Clinical Blood Pressure Measurement Camp at Shriram Nagari Seva Sanstha, Patan on 08th March 2023
Aim- To raise awareness on hypertension through emphasizing the importance of measurement.
Objective- Identify individual with hypertension for management and prevention.
Brief Report –
A free Clinical Blood Pressure Measurement Camp was organized by Krishna Institute of Nursing Sciences, and Krishna Hospital, Karad at Shriram Nagari Seva Sanstha, Patan on 8th March 2023 under the guidance of DR. Mrs. Vaishali Rajsinh Mohite Dean, KINS, Karad. Students of Krishna Institute of Nursing Sciences, and Mrs. Anagha Katti, Mrs. Sushma Shete, Assistant Professor KINS, Karad and Mrs. Afsana Mulani, Clinical Instructor KINS, Karad participated in camp.
Special guest for camp was DR. Lyen Cloutier, Professor, Universite du Quebec, Canada. She had delivered speech on importance of blood pressure measuring and demonstrated various types of position and place of taking blood pressure. A Campaign to encourage people to be alert to the dangers of high blood pressure.
The camp spread awareness about the illness and preventing hypertension diseases which people generally neglect. In this camp we raised awareness about importance of blood pressure measurement and helped the people to understand about blood pressure. Community participation was appreciable and people were curious to know about their blood pressure.
Nutrition Exhibition (Awareness programme on Nutrition)
Aim- To create awareness about diet for people with hypertension, diabetes and antenatal mothers.
Students of KINS prepared diets for people with hypertension, diabetes and antenatal mothers. with Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA) values and also created awareness among community.
