Dr. Kedar N Rustagi Award for community and humanitarian services 2024

Department of Public Health Dentistry, School of Dental Sciences Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeeth Karad has create new milestone on 23th Feb 2025 by receiving ‘’Dr. Kedar N Rustagi Award 2024” which was given by International College of Dentistry Chennai. The award was received at SRM University on 23th Feb. 2025. The award was received by Dr. Shivakumar K.M (Professor and HOD of Public Health Dentistry Department, KVV Karad) .The Department was selected based on the achievements done for the community & Humanitarian services for the poor, needy and underprivileged people in and around Karad district Satara.

The Department of the Public Health Dentistry has performed more than 5000 dental camps across rural areas of Satara district, Maharashtra state & screened more than 3.0 lakhs population with various Oral & Dental diseases. The College is headed by Dr. Shashikiran N D (Dean of School of Dental Sciences, KVV), Dr. Shivakumar K.M (Professor and HOD of Public Health Dentistry Department, KVV Karad) Dr. Asmita Hamand (Asst. Professor of Public Health Dentistry Department )and Dr. Muskan Palkar (Asst. Lecturer of Public Health Dentistry Department, KVV Karad). The Hon’ble Chancellor, Hon’ble vice-chancellor and all the university officials congratulated for the achievement done by the department and the college.
