ISPPD-Children’s Month Celebration - National Level Contest

OVERVIEW:

In the view of celebration of Children’s week, celebrated from 14th November 2022 to 14th December 2022 by Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry, School of Dental Sciences, KIMSDU, Karad organized and participated in series of activities.

The aim was to inculcate healthy eating and oral hygiene habits in pediatric age group especially among special children in order to improve and maintain oral health as it plays a crucial role in general health of a child and also to create awareness among health professionals about the importance of a how a child’s oral hygiene affects his/her overall health.

SUMMARY OF ACTIVITIES:

As part of this national level initiative taken by Indian Society of Paedodontics and Preventive Dentistry, School of Dental Sciences, Karad organized and participated in following activities :

“ISPPD- CHILDREN’S WEEK- with centralized theme of “Anxiety and Fear! Paedodontists are great peers”

Team of School Of Dental Sciences receiving the award certificate from President ISPPD at the 19th National PG Convention held at Saveetha Dental College, Chennai.

On 14 November 2022, Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry, School of Dental Sciences, Karad celebrated Children’s Day and following activities were organized:

• Distribution of Oral Health awareness kits for kids
• Quiz Competition for kids
• Diet counselling for parents
• Demonstration of brushing technique to children

Distribution of snacks and cake cutting by pediatric patients visiting department as part of celebration was organized.
