KIMS- CME Cadaveric Workshop on Basics of Primary Total Knee Replacement.

Orthopaedics department of Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences, KVV., Karad. Organised a CME on 20th October 2024 with the theme of “Cadaveric Workshop on Basics of Primary Total Knee Replacement”. It was arranged in Tierra ( S1) Hall & Anatomy Dissection Hall, 1st floor College Building which was attended by about 15 Teaching Faculties & 28 Residents of Orthopaedics Department. Total 43 delegates from KIMS,KVV., Karad attended the CME.

Chief Speaker for CME - Dr. Milind Patil, - Head of Revival Bone and Joint Hospital ,Yojana Building Gokhale Road Noupada – Thane. He had done MS Ortho from Nair Hospital and TN Medical College, Bombay. In 1989, FRCS(Ortho) ( Glasgow, UK.) In 1991, M.Ch . (Ortho), Liver pool, UK. In 1994, He had perfomed more than 12,000 Total Joint Replacement Surgeries In last 20 years and he had operated more than 2000 patents from other countries at Revival Bone and Joint Hospital ,Yojana Building Gokhale Road Noupada – Thane.

The CME started at 07.00 AM and was over by 02.00 PM on 20th October 2024. It was Started after introduction of chief speaker Dr. Milind Patil.

All teachers & Students gathered in Tierra (S1) Hall 1st floor College Building were inauguration of CME was done, followed by Introduction of Chief speaker Dr. Milin Patil, followed by lectures of chief speaker on 1. Basics of Total Knee Replacement 2. Total Knee Replacement in Varus Knee 3. Total Knee Replacement in Valgus Knee 4. Managing bone defect in total knee replacement 5. Posterior cruciate ligament Retaing Total Knee Replacement followed by Cadaveric Demostration and Hands on Total Knee Replacement Work Shop was Conducted in Anatomy Dissection Hall, 1st floor College Building were two Cadaveric bodies were provided for workshop by Anatomy department of KIMS, KVV, Karad. and Instrumention for workshop was provided by OT Department of Kh & MRC , Karad & STRYKER Company. CME & Workshop Provided with big Screen with Projector & Sound System. There was good interactive session between the delegates &chief speaker during CME After CME words of appreciation from Chife Speaker Dr. Milin Patil regarding agreement of CME and Cadaveric bodies kept for workshop was recorded.

Breakfast, tea & Lunch was arranged during the CME.

Attendance register was kept, every delegate was given CME certificate./
