KIMS- World Anatomy Day Celebration – 2025

The Department of Anatomy, Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), Karad, celebrated World Anatomy Day on 15th October 2025.

Hon’ble Chancellor Dr. Suresh Bhosale graced the occasion as Chief Guest. A Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to Dr. Karuna Katti, former Professor of Anatomy, for her distinguished contributions.

Guest Speakers included Dr. Pravin Shingare, Dr. Karuna Katti, and Mrs. Arati Gokale, who delivered insightful talks on Organ Donation and Technology in Anatomy Education.

Meritorious students from Medicine, Dentistry, and Physiotherapy were felicitated for securing top ranks in the 2024–25 University Examination. A Poster Competition on Organ Donation was held for all six constituent colleges under KVV, with prizes awarded to the best entries.

Special recognition was given to Mrs. Patil for her dedicated laboratory work, Ms. Aditi (M.Sc. Anatomy) for winning the Best Paper Presentation at MAHACON 2025, and Dr. Chetan Pawar (PG student) for serving as a Guest Speaker on World Heart Day.

The program, held in the august presence of Dr. P. H. Shingare, concluded with appreciation for all contributors to the department’s success.
