Introduction
In accordance with the directives of the University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi, Krishna Institute of Nursing Sciences, Karad organized a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp on 12 June 2026 in observance of World Blood Donor Day 2026. The programme was conducted in collaboration with the Blood Centre, Krishna Charitable Hospital and Medical Research Centre, Karad, and TAL Blood Aid ( NGO ).
The programme aimed to create awareness regarding voluntary blood donation and motivate students, faculty members, and staff to contribute towards saving lives through regular blood donation.
Special Awareness Session
A motivational and educational sessions on blood donation, platelet donation, granulocyte donation, and stem cell donation were delivered by Mr. Veeshwajeet Kashid, an internationally renowned blood donation advocate.

Only individual known to have donated granulocytes 12 times, demonstrating extraordinary commitment towards saving critically ill patients.
Pioneer in promoting platelet, blood, and stem cell donation awareness among youth.
His inspiring interaction encouraged participants to pledge regular voluntary blood donation and become ambassadors of this humanitarian cause.
