Event Report

On the occasion of Lokraja Krutadnyata Parv, the Collector Office, Kolhapur in collaboration

District Industries Centre, Maharashtra State Innovation Society, Skill Development Corporation

and Shivaji University, Kolhapur had organised Lokraja Innovation Competition & Exhibition

2022 and Lokraja Startup & Investor Summit 2022.

This event offered a platform to students, innovators, start-ups, research scholars, faculty

members and enthusiastic industrious citizens to demonstrate their creative, innovative, feasible,

and economically viable solutions to the existing problems in a variety of domains/fields.

Shortlisted candidates were invited for presentations before judges. Shortlisted Innovators had to

exhibit their product/ service during the exhibition arranged between 2nd to 4th May 2022 and

were rewarded. Selected innovators were also given entry to pitch before an array of investors

during the Lokraja Startup and Investor Summit in the next phase.

It was matter of great consideration that out of the total 350 registration for the event, 104 were

selected out of which 18 participations belonged to KIMS “Deemed to be University”, Karad.

The event spanned for three days:

Day 1: 2nd May 2022

All the selected participants reached the venue in the morning at 9 am. Each one of them was

allotted a stall for exhibition of their innovations. All the participants were involved in setting up

their stall with great enthusiasm.

Day 2: 3rd may 2022

This day was the display of individual innovations to the general public. Each stall was visited

by various people right from school students to the higher personalities from various domains.

Our participants gave a very good explanations about their innovation prototypes to the visitors

which sparked eagerness of the visitors to know more. Many of the members from other

universities shared their contacts for future collaboration with the KIMS members. This was

rewarded by appreciation by the visitors to our Krishna team. It was worth noting that KIMSDU

team had greatest number of participation compared to other universities.

Day 3: 4th May 2022

This day started with visit by the judges to various stalls. Each of the participant tried their best

to explain their innovative ideas to the judges. As was with the public, the judges too appreciated

the Krishna team for their various innovations which boosted the confidence of KIMS

participants for the award.

Valedictory function was held in the evening. To our pleasure, the KIMS team headed by Dr D

K Agarwal won two prizes:

Thousand as appreciation from the organizers.

It is a proud moment for KIMSDU that its candidates were selected and won awards on occasion

of such as big platform. All the participants were able to learn lot of new things of innovations

and are really excited to participate in such future events.
