Report of the 12th Convocation Ceremony
The twelfth Convocation of Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) (Formerly known as Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences “Deemed To Be University”) Karad was held on Thursday, 16 th May 2024 at 11.00 am. The Chief Guest for the function was Hon’ble Padma Shri Dr. Raman Gangakhedkar, Former Head of Epidemiology, ICMR, New Delhi & Former Director National AIDS Research Institute, Pune. Hon’ble Chancellor, Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) presided over the Convocation Ceremony. Hon’ble Dr. Vedprakash Mishra, Chief Advisor to Hon’ble Chancellor and KVV and Hon’ble Dr.Pravin Shingare, Pro Chancellor, KVV were Guests of Honor.
Convocation procession began from the Krishna Institute of Pharmacy and reached the Pendal. Hon’ble Dr. Mrs. Neelam Mishra, Vice Chancellor welcomed the guests, gathering & then delivered the University report. Thereafter Hon’ble Dr. Suresh Bhosale, Chancellor declared the Convocation open.A total of 1045 students were conferred their respective degrees/diplomas in person and in absentia. Ph.D. Degrees were awarded to fifteen graduants & Super Speciality Degrees were awarded to five graduants. Deans (Academics) of constituent faculties presented their students to Hon’ble Chancellor for conferring their respective degrees/diplomas.
Thereafter Hon’ble Vice Chancellor presented before Hon’ble Padma Shri Dr. Raman Gangakhedkar, Chief Guest awardees for the award of Medals. 36 Medals for the year 2022-23 & 2023-24 were awarded to different students from different faculties.
After the felicitation of the Hon’ble Chief Guest, Hon’ble Chancellor & Guests of Honour Hon’ble Padma Shri Dr. Raman Gangakhedkar, Chief Guest delivered the Convocation address.
Finally Hon’ble Chancellor delivered the Presidential Address. After the convocation address Hon’ble Chancellor declared the Convocation Ceremony closed. This was followed by the National Anthem.
Note:
For the first time the Convocation Ceremony was held in the traditional Indian attire as per UGC guidelines.
Subsequent to the Convocation Ceremony, Graduation ceremony was held in the six constituent faculties wherein the graduands were handed over the degree / diploma certificates at the hands of the Chief Guests, Deans and Deans Academics in the presence of their parents.
