Krishna Institute of Nursing Sciences (KINS, Karad) successfully organized an Alumni Interaction Session on "Career Guidance for the United Kingdom (UK)" on November 12, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. The session featured two distinguished alumni, Ms. Jisha Ann Varughese and Ms. Betsy Sara Biju, both currently serving as Staff Nurses at Bombay Hospital & Medical Research Centre, Mumbai. They are proud graduates of the 2018-2022 Basic B.Sc. Nursing batch.
A total of 198 students attended the session, including 98 Vth Semester and 100 VIIth Semester B.Sc. Nursing students.
Session Highlights-
Ms. Jisha Ann Varughese, who was honored with the Best Vigilant Nurse Award on International Nurses Day 2024 at Bombay Hospital, Mumbai, commenced the session by sharing her journey. She expressed her enthusiasm in returning to her alma mater and recalled how her education at KINS, Karad played a pivotal role in shaping her professional success. She credited the rigorous academic curriculum and extensive clinical training provided by the faculty for preparing her to excel in an international healthcare setting.
Both Ms. Jisha Ann Varughese and Ms. Betsy Sara Biju provided valuable insights into career opportunities for Indian nurses in the UK. They elaborated on the key requirements, including:
English Language Proficiency (OET/IELTS)
Computer-Based Test (CBT)
Aptitude and Professional Exams
Additionally, they discussed the exam patterns, subject weightage, and the importance of image-based questions in the assessment process.
