KINS-Student Nurses’ Voices from Southeast Asia – A Proud Moment for KINS, Karad

Krishna Institute of Nursing Sciences (KINS), Karad, is proud to announce that Dr. Vaishali Rajsinh Mohite, Dean, KINS, Karad, along with Ms. Aleena Thomas and Ms. Christy Anna Saji, VIII Semester B.Sc. Nursing students, were invited as distinguished speakers for the prestigious Student Nurses’ Voices from Southeast Asia webinar. This event was part of the Student Nurses’ Voices Speaker Webinar Series (SNVSS) and was held on March 11, 2025, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM (IST).

Organized under the esteemed Nightingale Initiative for Global Health (NIGH), the webinar brought together student nurses and professors from Bhutan, India, the Maldives, and Thailand, along with 50 leading nurses from 34 nations across all six WHO regions. The event served as a platform for student nurses to share their perspectives, advocate for healthcare improvements, and contribute to achieving Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) #3 – Good Health and Well-being.

The Nightingale Initiative for Global Health (NIGH) is a global movement inspired by the legacy of Florence Nightingale, dedicated to empowering nurses, midwives, and citizens through storytelling, education, and advocacy. With UN Special Consultative Status, NIGH fosters leadership and knowledge-sharing among healthcare professionals worldwide.

During the webinar, Dr. Vaishali Rajsinh Mohite represented KINS, Karad, as a distinguished regional representative and shared insights into the evolving role of nursing in global healthcare. Ms. Aleena Thomas and Ms. Christy Anna Saji inspired attendees by highlighting their experiences, challenges, and aspirations in the field of nursing. Their participation showcased the excellence of KINS, Karad, in producing future nursing leaders committed to making a meaningful impact on global health.

This international recognition is a testament to the commitment of KINS, Karad, in fostering excellence in nursing education and global healthcare advocacy.
