KIP Organised Student Induction Programme ( Deeksharambh) from 1st August -7th August 2025

Student Induction Programme was conducted at Krishna Institute of Pharmacy, Karad under the aegis of Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeeth from 1st to 7th August 2025 with the enthusiastic participation of 150 students from B. Pharm, Pharm D, and M. Pharm programmes. Day 1 began with the official induction, sessions on the scope of pharmacy, introduction to the University, Dean Dr. N. R. Jadhav addressed the students and explained the importance of research and its role in advancing the pharmaceutical sciences. He also highlighted diverse career opportunities in the pharma field, motivating students to focus on innovation, skill development, and continuous learning for a successful professional journey.and a guest lecture by Dr. Shrinivas Bhope, General Mannager, Analytical R and D at Sava Healthcare, Pune, followed by departmental orientation, code of conduct, mentor–mentee distribution, and a workshop on gender sensitization. Day 2 featured a one-day certificate programme on the “Scope and Potential After Pharmacy” addressed by Dr. Mahesh Burande, Dirctor IPER Pune and Mr. Sameer Burande, Chief Executive officer, IPER, Pune, highlighting diverse career opportunities. On Day 3, students were oriented to virtual learning platforms, experienced a virtual industry tour, and attended motivational sessions on gratitude, research orientation, and student welfare activities. Day 4 included yoga and meditation, exam orientation, academic culture awareness, annual report highlights, and sensitization on anti-ragging and gender equality. Day 5 focused on placements, career advancement, alumni interaction, competitive examination guidance, professional responsibilities of pharmacists, and departmental visits for hands-on exposure. The programme concluded on Day 6 with sessions on innovation and incubation, the NCC induction ceremony, a lecture on communication skills with student debates, and the introduction of indoor and outdoor sports activities. Overall, the induction programme successfully oriented the new batch of students toward academics, research, career development, ethics, health, and holistic growth, preparing them to embrace their professional journey in pharmacy. As part of the Student Induction Program, a Painting and Photography Competition was held on 7th August 2025 at the Pharmaceutical Chemistry Laboratory under the guidance of Mr. Akshay Kadam. First Year B. Pharm and Pharm D students participated enthusiastically, showcasing creativity and talent. The photography theme was “Campus Photography”, while the painting themes were “Pharmacist: The Unsung Healthcare Hero” and “One Health – Pharmacy’s Role”. The event highlighted students’ artistic skills while reinforcing the values and responsibilities of the pharmacy profession, making the induction program more engaging and memorable.
