Parent-Teacher Meet 2024–25 at Krishna Institute of Science & Technology, Karad
On the 18th of April 2025, Krishna Institute of Science & Technology (KIST), Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), Karad, organized a grand and interactive Parent-Teacher Meet for the academic year 2024–25 at the KIST building. The event was designed to strengthen the crucial bond between educators and parents to ensure the all-round development and academic success of students.
The meet commenced with the Reporting and Registration of parents and students between 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. Approximately 100 number of enthusiastic parents turned up, showcasing their commitment to their children's education.
InauguralCeremony
The sacred inaugural ceremony commenced at 10:30 a.m. with a heartfelt welcome by the Master of Ceremonies. Embracing the ethos of Bharatiya Sanskriti, the event began with the soulful rendition of the Saraswati Vandana by Dr. Aparna Pathade, invoking the blessings of Goddess Saraswati the divine embodiment of wisdom, learning, and arts. This was gracefully followed by the Deep Prajwalan (lamp lighting) ceremony, a symbol of dispelling darkness and ushering in knowledge and enlightenment. The serene ambiance created during these rituals set a spiritually uplifting and scholarly tone for the entire gathering.




Welcome Address
At 10:45 a.m., the Dean of KIST, Dr. G. R. Pathade, addressed the gathering with an inspiring welcome speech. He emphasized the institution’s commitment to academic excellence, discipline, and student empowerment. Dr. Pathade highlighted how important parental involvement is in a student’s educational journey and acknowledged the role of KIST in fostering industry-ready professionals.



Announcement of a Proud Achievement by KIST College
Krishna Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) has been selected for the Satara District River Conservation Health project! As part of this initiative, a survey of the Krishna-Koyna River will be conducted to assess its condition and explore possible remedies.
It is a great honor that Dream Foundation Satara NGO has provided a donation of ₹5000 for this research work. This cheque was handed over by Dr. G. R. Pathade, Dean, KIST to Dr. (Brig.) G. Himashree, the Research Director of the University.
For the success of our institution and future research, Dr. Pathade also requested that the University’s Research Department be involved in this project.

Institutional Presentation by Dean Academics Dr. Snehal A. Masurkar
Following this, Dr. Snehal A. Masurkar, Dean Academics, delivered an informative and visionary presentation on “The Journey of KIST.” Her talk covered:
- The establishment and structured development of Krishna Institute of Science & Technology.
- Academic facilities such as state-of-the-art laboratories, digital classrooms, and access to extensive learning resources.
- Student-centric initiatives including skill development programs, technical workshops, value-added certification courses, and national-level seminars.
- University-level achievements such as student rankings, placements in top companies, research publications, patents, and MoUs signed with reputed industries and foreign institutions.
- Emphasis on values, discipline, and innovation-driven learning.
Dr. Masurkar also acknowledged the tireless efforts of the teaching and non-teaching staff in providing a holistic academic environment.

Felicitation of Student Achievers
At 11:05 a.m., a special felicitation ceremony was conducted to recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of outstanding students from various disciplines and batches. Students were awarded for academic excellence, participation in extracurricular activities, and exemplary contributions to institutional growth.
B.Sc. I – Academic Toppers:
Sahil Suryavanshi secured the 3rd Rank in the National Tennis Cricket Championship held in Nashik.
In addition, the Ozon Day Poster Competition results were announced, recognizing the creativity of students:
Presidential Address
At 11:20 a.m., the Chief Guest, Dr. (Brig.) G. Himashree, delivered the Presidential Address. She congratulated the institute for its forward-looking vision and applauded the teachers and parents for their collective effort in shaping responsible citizens. She emphasized the importance of discipline, dedication, and curiosity in a student’s life. Her motivational words left a lasting impression on the audience.

Parent-Teacher Interaction
At 11:30 a.m., a Parent-Teacher Interaction session took place. This provided an opportunity for parents to meet with the teaching staff in small groups to discuss their child’s academic progress, development, and areas of improvement. The session allowed for constructive discussions, where both parents and teachers exchanged valuable insights into how to further enhance the student’s educational experience. It fostered open communication and strengthened the partnership between parents and educators in supporting student success.
Parent Feedback Session
At 11:35 a.m., an open floor was given for parents to share their observations and feedback. Many parents expressed their satisfaction and gratitude toward the faculty, administration, and overall institutional atmosphere. Several praised the personalized mentorship, timely communication, and the academic rigour maintained throughout the semesters.


Vote of Thanks
The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks at 11:45 a.m., wherein the organizing committee expressed their gratitude to all the dignitaries, parents, faculty members, students, and support staff for making the event a great success.

Outcome
The Parent-Teacher Meet 2024–25 served as a powerful platform to review progress, exchange ideas, and plan future strategies for enhancing student success. The involvement of parents in such activities not only motivates students but also fosters a supportive learning community.
